Q: I provided oral sex with my female partner who had her 2nd yeast infection. She is seeing a gnyecologist next week and is starting on Monistat. I developed a small yeast infection on the outside corner of my mouth.. It is sore, slightly pink. In past I have periodically had a reoccurring yeast infection in this same area. My dentist said this was related to my denture fitting--and Econazole Nitrate Cream !% has cured this up in day or so. It is, however, not helping now. Would Monistat help me? What, besides Econazole might I use? Thank you.

Q: I've never had a yeast infection before. During a trip to Mexico I began getting all the noted symptoms after swimming in the pool and ocean. Symptoms worsened after snorkeling. From initial appearance to extreme symptoms was about three days. Seeing as it was the weekend I went to the ER. They did a pelvic exam am told me all was fine I only had vaginitis from a little bacterial infection, I was given antibiotics. The next couple of days my symptoms worsened.
